Even when you go to the aquarium often, it never gets tiring. Being a local with a small child, we go at least every couple of months. My son just loves it.

Alright experience although they could add a area for kids to do activities as the walk around is short and not much to keep little ones entertained :) just a suggestion staff is friendly and helpful so that's a plus also quite pricey.

I am not usually an of zoo or aquarium, but I learned a lot about species and I found it pretty interactive. Seeing two kiwis running around in the dark was a nice surprise.

Have to admit, the highlight was the cafe. The penguins were cute and entertaining but the general feel wasn't overwhelming. Disappointing that this it the national aquarium yet I didn't see and reference to Maori- a far contrast to te papa!More

Thank you for taking the time to visit us and comment on your experience. It is a shame to read that you felt underwhelmed in some areas and you do mention references to Maori. We do have a dedicated area that talks about the legend...More

Excellent attraction beautifully presented. Able to snorkel with the marine life in the tank, obviously including various species of shark. All equipment available and no prior experience necessary. Staff very helpful and sociable, good family visit with plenty of interactive activities for the younger visitor.More
