I did the one hour walking tour of Napier which started with a very informative video about the earthquake that flattened Napier in 1931. Our guide Anita was very knowledgeable and pointed out things that you would walk straight past normally.

From Celebrity cruise ship, how far of a walk to is it to start the guided tour?

Hi Rhetta The free shuttles drop you to the NAPIER isite which is a 2 minute walk from our Art Deco Centre. We add additional walks for c ruise ship passengers. Regards Abby

We will be arriving in Napier on a cruise ship on February 16, 2017. Our ship arrives at 12 noon and we are interested in the afternoon guided walk tour. Can we get tickets the day we arrive or do the tours fill up and you need to book in advance?

Good morning, yes you are able to book on the day, we have guided tours every day (except Christmas Day) at 10.00am and 2.00pm. We also offer a 5.00pm Guided Walk in the Summer months (October - April). We add on additional... More

Yes, these walking tours go on all year round and by November you will be into the traditional New Zealand tourist season. Go into the Art Deco heritage place and the staff will let you know what is available.
