Redeemed itself.

After about a 20min wait to be served, the wines were delicious, and the guy working was really nice. Great setting and vibe.

First time here and we loved it, lovely spot looking over the Harbour and a great way to try the local wines. We got the two tasting flights and a cheese platter and we loved it all. Nice open out door area, with great large tables for bigger groups as well.

Was looking forward to this, one venue to taste a selection of the region, due to the fact that many local vineyards are too small to run their own tastings. It was a real let-down, we had two tasting flights, each of 5 wines, so 10 different tastings between us. The person behind the bar did not even enter into... More

We tasted 5 different wines and ordered different small food items with the wines. The place is beautiful laid out and has view over the Harbour. The service was excellent and the staff knows what they service. Relaxing place to sit

Wineries around Gisborne are variable, so try the tasting flights at the Wine Centre first, to see what you like, and then arrange your visits. There were two flights to choose from when I was there, and good value they were. Very friendly and well located by the waterfront.

We were served by enthusiastic experts who had been wine makers and now gave us as much time as we needed to taste the amazing wines of the region. We are coming back this year to stock our cellar again.

$15 wine tasting for 5 glasses of local wines. Great bar snacks (bread and dips style) too. Outdoor area enclosed with wind proof cover. Don't drive round to taste Gisborne wines - try here first & then visit your favs.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. There are two different flights for testing at a reasonable price, the wines change every week. Check opening hours as they differ. There are special events at the Wine Centre, and the staff are very informative about wineries in the area.

We had a lovely view of the Marina whilst trying the local Hihi Almarino wine. There seemed to be a great choice of wines and also beers for the non wine drinkers

I attended a two day conference here and it worked really well. Even though one day was cold (to be fair all of Gisborne was cold - with snow showers and sleet into the central city...! ) the other day was better with heaters on full power. The view was inspiring and the near central city location ideal. Staff are... More
