Pretty and pretty central

This is a lovely street to stroll in, just off the hustle and bustle of Queen Street. It is tree lined and boasts many shops and lovely bars. A good night life street.

Was it the fact that there was a large cruise ship docked! But I found this area overpriced, along with a number of shops along queen street in Auckland. In fact apart from the excellent accommodation at Sky City Hotel I found the whole inner Auckland city experience disappointing. The number of people begging (whilst openly consuming alcohol) was concerning... More

Have always loved Vulcan Lane in the city. Lovely to stroll and look at the shops, plus lovely cafes for eating. Much nicer than Queen st!

Very adorable place to shop and eat. Also a great place to grab a pint at a number of their local watering holes. Worth the trip.

Very nice street in a busy city. There are lots of restaurants and pubs to sit and watch the world go by.

This is a good way to avoid the crowds on Queen Street. Lots of good little cafes and bars along here. You might also see street performers in the area on a good day.

This is so different from the wide streets of most of the Auckland Shopping Precinct. It is buzzy with lots of cafes. We ate at Cafe Melba. Friendly staff. Good coffee.

The Vulcan Lane really doesn't have and ties to a Star Trek, as its a shopping and restaurant area that is something like an open air arcade. Nice places to eat/drink or buy some goodies while out for the day. It's nice but not too fancy I think. Worth checking out if you're close by, but I wouldn't go out... More
