The Ferry Building is all about ferries - which still run all day getting people to and from central Auckland and the islands. Before the 747, water was the way to go, in fact, it was the only way from a place like NZ. The...More

I am so grateful to have interacted with several wonderful staff members who helped guide me for tours, make phone calls on my behalf and even helped me get in to the free wifi. They were the sweetest customer service people in Auckland!

Awesome place to be. I have not seen so many different types of ships from the smallest to the biggest cruise ships. It is close to Marine Museum. Really facinated by the history on ships! No wonder its called City of Sails!

Tried to find a coffee bar but all full then this was spotted at the main entrance to the Ferry Building. The flat white was piping hot but the few seats were uncomfortable. Avoid if possible

You can't miss this building as it stands along on Quay Street and is by the Ferry terminals. An historical building in great condition and has plenty of lovely restaurant options including ones with outdoor patio options for watching it all go by.
