Could depend on whether you want to visit any of the attractions e.g. park at the zoo if you want to visit it first or last. Best bet would be to park in the Domain near the museum as you have easy access to both bus routes... More

Yes you can get on at any stop and pay on bus
We are arriving on a Princess cruise on Saturday Oct 10. Does anyone know how close the stops are to the cruise terminal? Is it within walking distance?

As with previous answers, the stops are right by the cruise terminal. To pay with a card it is just a short walk along the road.
