Always have some activities to do or watch in this amazing public space. Like Diwali festival, Taiwan day and lots of cultural presentation

This is the largest open-air space in Auckland's CBD. There's room for many people as some major events happen here. it's highlight is a large arch called “Waharoa’ (Gateway in Maori), made of wood and copper that features musical instruments, shells, birds, fish, the moon symbolizing New Zealand art and the Maori influence. It was designed by Maori sculptor Selwyn... More

A great place to relax and have lunch in the city. This is where the usual activities in the city take place, recently there was a celeberity chef handing out free food, had the precialla bus giving out free tickets, the all blacks photo session. keep a eye on theis place

Aotea Square in a lovely place to relax during your shopping spree and sightseeing in CBD area in the heart of Auckland. There are a number of foodie places nearby for a quick snack or meal. Aotea Square is well connected by bus and is certainly worth a visit during your trip to Auckland.

Despite recent-ish development work, Aotea Square is still (in my opinion) a fantastic location but otherwise a waste of space. For events, great. But day to day, there's barely even anywhere to sit - quite surprising.

Aotea Square was very interesting and has some modern art that lights us at night and looks beautiful. During the day you can see the memorial that is humbling. Worth a visit and you can see the other close sights like town square.

There is always something on here. Some kind of market ... an ice rink ... or suchlike. Unfortunately the vibe can be spoiled by the very loud Christians who try to get there message across on the weekend evenings. They use loudspeakers... and never stop. A great square however!!

Piano Stairs is an interactive installation that is guaranteed to charm kids and kids in adult bodies alike. It makes walking upstairs (or downstairs) an unforgettable musical experience.

This is the largest plaza located centrally in Auckland, framed by the Aotea Centre and the Town Hall. Sometimes programmed in the summer months for festivals and performances. It's hard to miss this one on any Auckland visit.
