Large area where there is usually something going on. Can meet up with friends and usually something or with the arts. Close to the town hall, movies, 10 pin bowling and large number of eateries

for the so called arts centre there was not a lot going o wanted to visit a show whilst in town but nothing on that appealed and certainly no attractive coffee shops

There is always something going on in Aotea square Right on the vibrant Queen street.... close to all the shops cafes and restaurants/bars Lots of street arts going on around you Wonderful atmosphere!!!

A great open air venue in the city.....check out what is coming up....unfortunately for us it was in preparation for an upcoming arts festival so the grounds were closed.

A good spot to sit and eat some takeaways - there are lots of interesting and unique food shops nearby with every cuisine. Events are held regularly here and there was a community edible garden (being packed away for end of season)

They seemed to be setting up for a festival of some sort but this well kept square is surrounded by eateries next to teh town hall.
