After seeing some of the shops around Auckland offering tacky souvenirs, we were so pleased to discover The Elephant House tucked into one of the many quaint little lanes of Parnell Street. This shop is spacious, well organized, and carries a wide variety of made in New Zealand items. We were able to pick up some lovely gifts, all at... More

You have to really hunt for this little gem but it's worth hunting it out, absolutely the best place for tourists to source things all made in New Zealand by independent artists and other talented people. It's tucked down a little lane off of the main drag, if you don't see it please ask on the Main Street as it... More

This is a really nice gift shop, full of the sort of things that holidaymakers like us would like to take home to remind us of New Zealand. There's quality here; not cheap, but we shopped anyway! Well worth a visit.

Wonderful shop with quality goods at very reasonable prices. Tourists should be encouraged to ignore all the usual junk souvenir shops in downtown Auckland and pay a visit here.

This is a good shop to find some better quality New Zealand made crafts and souvenir items. It's located in a cute village with other nice shops and restaurants. You can walk here from the museum too.

This was our third visit to the Elephant House over several years of visiting Auckland. It has a great range of authentic souvenirs and gifts and we never leave without something attractive to remember our visit to New Zealand. If you are seeking a momento of your visit, it is definitely worth looking here.
