A must-see! History breathes from these grounds. A wonderful museum, the treaty house, the wooden boat and of course the cultural performance: is worth the money! Check the schedule of the performances upfront.

The story of how New Zealand was born is told here, and told well, without any cultural bias. It is told in a modern museum, with great use of technology - and it will take much longer than you think, so wear comfortable shoes. The...More

A good guided tour should give people more than they would get from looking at displays, or at least give a sense of the stories of the place they are visiting. We did not find this the case. This place is an important site for...More
