It's a long drive. But it's worth to do it with your rental car (even though you are not allowed to drive on the 90mile beach) as you can go where you want and stay there as long as you like. There are the two...More

Such a beautiful place. You can see the Pacific Ocean meet the Tasman Sea. So mesmerizing looking at the views. Very well maintained place including the toilets. Wheelchair and pram accessible which I didn't realise until halfway down so it would've been great to keep...More

We have a one day trip to Cape Reinga where is described as top of New Zealand. That's a magnificent experience when we stood in front of the lighthouse and enjoyed the breeze from the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea. The view is definitely unforgettable....More

We were there in a downpour, but decided we should walk to the lighthouse as we had driven there. Hard to tell in the rain, but about 1km round walk down and back up. Strategically placed seats along the way. Beautiful plants and informative signs.

Gosh things have changed in 14 years. Sealed road to the walkway then a pram friendly path the whole way to the lighthouse is a huge improvement. Always a stunning view from the top of NZ A must do

Was a wonderful place where the Tasman and the Pacific seas meet. Quite a historic place. As usual Nzl has a lot of surprises along its way to the top!

Despite leaving Paihia at 7.15am and returning at 5.40pm I highly recommend this tour. We booked with Explore and weren't disappointed. The driver was informative. As we travelled along the 90 mile beach he described the many varying conditions that can be encountered. We left...More

For a FREE tourist attraction, Cape Reinga is immaculately maintained. I can think of several other countries I've been to, in Europe for example, where you'd have to pay big admission costs, but not here! Easy walk to the lighthouse and amazing photo opportunities! Depending...More

I didn't see any other dogs, like others have said, but I don't recall seeing any 'no dog signs' This being said, there are signs that prohibit eating and any garbage left behind as it is a sacred space. There is no one... More
