Thanks to Mike and Liz for making another stay in NZ memorable! we stayed at two of their properties and they were so hospitable and friendly! I on;y wish we had more time to visit! We were moving through the area and had to be on our way.

For anyone that wants to enjoy some Kiwi hospitality, this is the place to stay. Away from the crazy touristy stuff of Rotorua. We had a great time on the fat pigeon too! Liz and Mike were fabulous hosts and took us to the hot pools where we were able to relax and enjoy the spectacular surrounding scenery. The Fat Pigeon Too is a MUST DO boat trip!! Mike and Liz are the perfect hosts, fun, friendly, accomodating, knowledgable about the area and cook delicious food! Very, very kind and pleasent people. They allowed us to relax and we didn't feel any time presure. The boat is super comfortable which really allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and the beautiful lake. 5 Stars service and experience!!! Botev family.

best trip ever. Forget boat trips in the Bay of Islands;-) Call Liz and Mike, ask them for a tea time trip with the special muffins of liz and just enjoy your time, the look around and the drive on that blue lake! This boat and trip was great. I just sat and relaxed in the beutiful water of lake tarawera. We went to the hot beach and that was very cool. We also did bisciting and jumped from cliffs. In the boat there is also a bbq and we had some lovely food on it.

The skippers Liz and Mike took us on an incredible trip to the Hot Water Beach and the Natural Hot Pools where we took a wonderful and relaxing bath with wine and delicious selfmade muffins from the best cook ever - thanks Liz! We really loved our trip with the Fat Pigeon Too. The boat is comfortable and you felt very safe knowing that both Liz and Mike are licenced captains!
