St George’s is one of my favourite Australian cathedrals, and it was a delight to be able to just sit inside and enjoy the space. The two welcomers were very friendly. The windows are lovely, and the War Memorial Chapel is a colourful contrast. The...More

The new stain glass windows are worth a viewing. Volunteer pounced on us as soon as we entered the building forcing a guided tour which we felt forced to do. Would be nice to be given the chance/option to wander round by ones selves.

What a surprise it was when my wife and I visited St George's cathedral! Having worked nearby for many years I had often passed by and admired it from the outside. We took advantage of Heritage Week to visit and were blown away at how...More

It was a struggle to find as it didn't appear to be on any of the tourist maps but having found Cathedral Ave we figured it would be close by. Peaceful building with a very friendly welcom.

A charming cathedral which is welcoming and bathed in glorious colours from the newly installed modern stained glass windows. The staff are warm and friendly, the soldiers chapel reflective and inspiring. An oasis of calm in a busy city.

Small church, nice gothic architecture and beautiful windows. Very friendly guides in the church chatting away and talking about the church. Definitely worth a visit, if you like churches!

No, there isn't public parking space at the Cathedral, and works at the nearby Old Treasury Building mean that the area is currently more congested than usual. There is ticketed street parking nearby, though, and a large... More
