With construction commenced in 1863, consecrated in 1865 and completed in 2010, this is obviously a blend of more than one architectural influence, which turns out to be a successful mix of the old and modern.
Internally it has a bright and open atmosphere with...More

Thank you for visiting the Cathedral and your review. The Cathedral tries to strike a balance between its primary function as a place of worship and prayer and a place of interest for its architectural splendour. I hope you find many more opportunities to visit.

Thank you for visiting the Cathedral and your review. It is much appreciated. I hope you have the opportunity to visit here again.
Be sure to see it from the south side (with the entrance which I believe is the main entrance to the grounds), and you'll see it's "quite an imposing" structure with a solid stone facade (although there are also some "modern parts" with big glass...More

Thank you for your review - we hope you enjoyed your visit and look forward to seeing you again if you can make it.
I came from Singapore. It was a Sunday when I reached Perth. Found this church on the website and it's mass time. Took a picture with Rev. Fr. Conor Steadman. It easy to find this church and also easy to park your car too.

Thanks very much for your review. Inside is very interesting too as the 2006 - 2009 renovations really opened up the interior. You are welcome to come in to have a look around or for some prayer or reflection.
We decided to have a look around as we were passing and were pleased we did so. Interesting and well worth a look.More

Thank you for visiting the Cathedral and your review. St Mary's is the result of work in the 19th (1865), 20th (late 1920s) and 21st (2006-2009) centuries which does result in an interesting building architecturally as well as its core purpose as a place of...More
