Twelve of the 18 bells in this tower came from London's St.-Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square as a Bicentenary gift to the people of Western Australia in 1988. Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monach since George II in 1727.

The ring the bell experience is definetely worth it. You can know the history first hand, ring the bells and get a certificate too! Our tour guide, John, did a wonderful job! Keep it up! ^_^

It's worth seeing but it's not the sort of place you're likely to visit on multiple occasions. I wish they'd made it larger to better views and to make it a more important tourist attraction.

But the 'tour' - 'I can give you a 20% discount' should have been a clue - was a complete rip-off at $14 for effectively a <15 minute chat with Howard. To be fair, Howard was informative ( albeit he surprised me by not being at all interested in bell-ringing ! ) and I suppose it's quite cool to have... More

This was the best thing I've ever done in Perth, it lived up to its high expectation! The walk to the tower was nothing but beautiful and adds to the whole experience. Got to the bell tower and wasn't disappointed, this majestic piece of architecture on the banks of the Swan river lit my eyes up and the walk inside... More

Interesting bells, good information provided and lovely views of the city. You can spend under 1 hour without waiting for the show or you can attend the show and spend more than 1 hour.

Hi Elana, thank you for your excellent 5 star review! We appreciate your feedback and we are happy to hear you enjoyed your time here. We hope you got to Chime the bells? Otherwise, like you said, you can still enjoy the tower without participating in the Chiming. Come back and visit us again! More
