We spent five hours slowly driving through the Stirling Ranges on a 42 km dirt road which was in reasonably good condition given the remote location and the recent heavy rains. We had an SUV but any sedan car can do this drive with ease. Just keep your speed down and any rough patches will be a breeze. Actually it's... More

Hundreds of miles of footpaths surrounded by dense and beautiful forsests full of wildlife. Definetly one for the very experienced walkers. OR take advice from the rangers who can direct you to short walks from 30 minutes to 4 hours, including access for disabled folks. Brilliant

We camped in the middle of winter. It was freezing cold and we weren't well prepared. However the wildlife is amazing. We had a bandicoot? try to steal our food and were kept awake by the roos that came right up to our tent. Beautiful views to wake up to....

3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hrs from Perth. If staying, best to book, especially weekends, holiday times. Driving on the surrounding roads for just the view, while passing through to Albany or Bremer Bay can be enough if you are short of time. However, if you have a few days, theres a couple places to stay. Stirling Range Retreat at the... More

Stirling Range National Park are considerably bigger than the nearby Porongorup Range, and even as you approach the area you get a sense of wonder. You can drive through or around the ranges, which can be enjoyed from the safety of your vehicle, but the best way to enjoy them is by doing a hike to one of the peaks.... More

One of the best spring destination, this NP has more flora than the whole British Islands. The wild flower show, the orchids and mountain bells are a unique touch of this park and the rugged peaks have excellent walks. Bluff Knoll is steep and the weather is really challenging. there is no water and only basic facilities. In spring the... More

80 k north of Albany this majestic range rears its head. Beautifully rugged and enticing. We visited when the wildflowers were at their best and found the most beautiful wildflower in the form of the Southern cross. It was growing just near the Bluff Knoll car park. So many beautiful gifts to enjoy from nature in flora and fauna.

We did the Bluff Knoll , it said class 4 with 4-5 hours return, and we did it in 4.5 hours. You do need good physically level to do that, it has lots of stairs and unleveled road, but all worth when you reach the top!!
