We had the most uplifting evening on Monday night's performance of Murphy. As always the dancing was superb but the structure of the whole performance was perfect highlighting Murphy's breadth of talent and output. It was simply beautiful and uplifting! Don't miss it.

This was a disappointing evening. The true character and genius of Murphy was absent from almost everything in this pot pouri of poor quality ballet extracts. The dancing was mostly calisthenics/aerobics, with what seemed to be am ongoing search to find and execute the most...More

I thoroughly enjoyed the performance I saw on Saturday night. Brilliant dancing, great choreography. I found the lead male dancer in Firebird disappointing, as I do every time I see him dance - technically strong but lacks any warmth, passion of feel for a role.

We saw the Graeme Murphy tribute performance and were very disappointed. This may be because we prefer modern to classical dance and haven't seen a Murphy ballet for many years. Far too much work on points made a lot of the performance a cross between...More

The Australian Ballet just gets better and better. The depth of talent of our dancers from Coryphees to Principals constantly astounds. The production of Murphy to celebrate 50 glorious years of Graeme Murphy (and Janet Vernon) is a wonderful example of this. A mix of...More

This was more dance and calisthenics than ballet. I found it strong on technique and not emotionally engaging.

Food for the soul. An exquisite compilation of a masters work. Performed with an evident desire to give credit to the creator. Timeless.
