The food has gone off here - the risotto was flavourless, for example. Also, the house Shiraz was over the hill, wel past it’s best.

We can't fault our experience. From the minute we walked in and were greeted warmly, given the table in the window and provided with water & a wine list. The meals were exceptional and the wine list overwhelmingly good. This is an old favourite at...More

We love spending time in the back courtyard where you can feel the serenity after the Lygon St buzz. We enjoyed the good service and professional attitude. The brains special was indeed special and so hard to find nowadays. It was light and very delicious.

Old school wine bar on Lygon St still keeps on going. Wine/beer on noisy footpath can be fun. Good meeting place to start the night. Dining in is not great but not worst meal around. The rooftop has been the winner on a sunny day....More

If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated
over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the
place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to
the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who
started their day with a local espresso. They are
gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this
Little Italy which has something for everyone.

Sorry, no idea. I can recommend some wines in Provence, which is where I am now. Perhaps you could call Jimmy Watsons and ask what Italian roses they serve. Good luck.
