Went along expecting just to see the old cells - didn't expect to be thrown into one! The 'jailor' was a riot & played a really good part yet was still very informative of the history of the place. Well worth a visit!

This was a great experience and very good throughout - enjoyed it There were two experiences allowed to travel the gaol at your leisure and then being arrested and the mug shot of course!

Highly recommend this attraction. Once you have your entry ticket, make sure you go along to the jailhouse for a half hours tour of what it would have been like to be arrested and admitted into the Gaol. If your lucky enough to get Sargent...More

Thank you for your review. Our night tours give a different view of the Gaol, come during the day and you also have access to the old police watch house.

Not really appropriate for young children. They would need to be old enough to appreciate the history of this Gaol and have some understanding of penal institutions in general. Not a cheerful,place.

You have to telephone the Gaol or check out the website for night tours, they have three and they run on different nights. I think they release the nights and times up to 2 weeks before. These are different to the day tours.
