You can see and hear from every seat in the theatre. Beautifully painted and restored with very comfortable seats. The foyer is intimate but has a good selection of drinks and nibbles and you always seem to meet someone you know! A fabulous night out.

I have watched many a show at the Theatre Royal, which by the way is the oldest theatre in Australia. The acoustics are great.

One of the oldest stage theatres still operating in Australia. Always good to visit and see a show. Wonderful acoustics.

Over the years I and my wife have attended many events at this wonderful historic theatre which is located in the midst of Hobart. The seating arrangements are a little quaint - from a previous century and whether from the stalls to the "gods" the views are excellent as indeed are the acoustics - there is the odd seat that... ....no downstairs loos! I have bad knees so climbing stairs to the loos would have been difficult. How an organisation can get away without accessible loos in this day and age is beyond me.

We took the tour of the theatre as we are really interested in this theatre being the only purpose built theatre left in Australia. The tour was informative. Stair-climbing so wear comfortable shoes

This is a beautiful theatre. The children who attended to see the play could all see quite well and the venue has a lovely 'old world' feel. This is definitely a great venue for live theatre.

Fantastic theatre with an interesting history. I sat upstairs at the top. Seats hard and uncomfortable and getting down to the row was difficult as the steps are too tall. But really enjoyed the view of the stage. Also exit was via many steps so think about this if it's going to be a problem

Another brilliant night at the grand old lady, entertained by music and story. But wowed with the splendor of the architecture and ambiance of the theatre.
