Wonderful museum, wish we'd had more time to explore it. They close early, so allow at least a few hours if you're interested in the historical displays.

Easily accessed right in town. Tells a story of early Tasmanian settlement and the hardship the locals experienced. Fabulous old building.

My son loved this museum and having to find the items in the kids book. It has a lot to offer and I really enjoyed our visit too. Great family day out for a few hours.

Set in building over 150 years in some cases this museum houses a large array of artefacts from the 19 Century. There are also more recent additions.
