Amazing views a must see if you go to Hobart

No regrets here, 360 degrees of beautiful Hobart and beyond. A great way to gain an idea of the sprawling waterways and harbour.

Beautiful views over Hobart and surrounds from a variety of viewpoints but remember to take a jumper as the temperature was over 10 degrees colder than Hobart.

Windy and cold, but stunning views. Very popular with international tourists. Wish I had longer to explore some of the hillside footpaths. Inviting looking cafes at Ferny Grove further down the mountain.

The hike itself runs up the side the mountain where you can overlook Hobart and the surrounding suburbs the entire time which is just beautiful! It's not a crazy long hike which is nice, about 3 hours or less (round trip) starting from The Springs. Once you get to the top, it is obviously very open and very windy/cold -... More

This is one of those must see things when visiting Hobart. The view is just spectacular. There is an indoor viewing area, but it is always very, very cold, even in summer. If you want to remain outside you will need a warm jacket, scarf and beanie, particular when the wind is blowing. I have seen tourists getting off buses... More

The park at the summit offers excellent views of Hobart, and southern and eastern Tasmania, access to hiking trails, and a class enclosed viewing room for those cold and windy days up there (even is summer).

Excellent views...on a clear day! Be prepared for lots of cars and people, as this is a very popular place for tourists. Better to go for one of the many walks in the area.

I must admit the drive up Mt Wellington was way scary for me , never understand why drivers hog the middle of the road forcing the other vehicles closer to the edge and the drop below. I think it was a busy sunny Sunday, so loads of cars going up and down . Well worth it when you arrive at... More

Fantastic, scenic walks in a beautiful environment. I was determined to walk to the pinnacle, though with a limited timeframe and no car, so took the 448 bus to Fern Tree from Franklin Square, getting off at the Fern Tree Tavern. From there, the Middle Track at the top of the picnic area leads a steep slope up to the... More
