I recently got back from a 6 day hike with our guides Ben and Blair and the whole experience was fantastic. The track is extremely well developed with certain camps that we stopped at, so the pace is well defined and easy to map out; the website does a good job in describing the route. The journey itself was relatively... More

We are relatively new to glamping - only learning of the word last year. However the Tasmanian Walking Co thru their wonderful guides - in this case, Emily and Justin - provided the ultimate trekking experience in the most efficient, knowledgable, professional and friendly manner possible. At the end of the tour , we were all a little misty eyed... More

We did the self-guided option with Wilderness expeditions. From the first pick up with Brian to the last drop off with Paul it was fantastic. These are good people who care about you and feel responsible for you - all A grade equipment. (and for putting up with my million calls and questions) Thank you all!

In mid December our family did the 6 day guided walk with Wilderness Expeditions. We had a wonderful time and would recommend them highly for the following reasons... The office staff were wonderful to deal with. They answered our many questions. At one stage there was doubt over whether a member of our group would be able to do the... More

We walked the Overland Track over 6 days in mid December 2015 with guides Paul and Ben. A fabulous trip, with heavy snow on the first day and summer temperatures by the last. The equipment provided was excellent quality, the food delicious and Paul's years of experience on the track, much appreciated. Would definitely use this company again.

This was my second Overland with Wilderness Expeditions. (I'm not sure why the are being listed as 'day-walk' this is definitely not. 6 days, 10 if you want, as I understand) Friends went in winter even. It was wonderful and I had to come back.. now with the family in tow! Excellent! The experience was just as awesome, similar to... More

I did this the Overland Track (OT) with Wilderness Expedition in the end of Dec 14. I realised this is a very late review but it's better than nothing. I just thought it's best to put my story out there so others would know about how amazing OT is and also how is Wilderness Expedition, trekking company that I chose... More

I wasn't looking forward to the walk, i was just going tagging along with my husband & his friend- was I pleasantly surprised. First let me begin with our guides, James & Tim. I have never seen guides work so hard. Not only did they lead us on our daily walk, knowledgeable about the flora and the landscape , they... More

My husband and I recently hiked the Overland Track, our first multi-day hike in several years. We had a wonderful time and can really recommend this hike, even if you're moderately fit. Make sure you only pack the essentials because carrying a backpack will be tough and make sure you've appropriate clothing. It'll rain and be cold and by the... More

We walked this as a family a few years ago. The children were aged 11 and 14. We went in January. We did not go with guides. There were lots of other people on the track but it never felt crowded. It takes a fair bit of preparation of equipment, food etc. but so worth it. We had a moderate... More
