Yes, it's a fairly long drive on a less than well-maintained road but it is an interesting historical site. There's a small museum and guided tours of the lihgthoues are available. Not the greatest of KI's tourist attractions but a key part of the island's...More

The corrugated gravel road to Cape Borda is a put off, but the views and lighthouse make it worth the effort. Although there was no guided tours available on the day that we visited, a "Self Guided" tour of the surrounds was on offer.

After a terrible driving for one hour, all I saw is a small lighthouse which is allegedly genuine but I don’t see any special of it. We four people had to pay $20 to get closer....which I regretted because you have to pay extra $$...More

Mick’s explanation of how a sextant works was the best ever. Very educational and entertaining. We also liked the way he explained that this was a REAL lighthouse as opposed to other similar structures which are mere beacons. He is clearly passionate about his job

Just messing with you Mick. Great tour, more like an interactive, one-man theater piece that goes at a cracking pace full of facts, props and history. A rrrreeeeaallll tour guide to a rrreeaaalll light house in a rrreeeaaalll isolated place. Be prepared for a bumpy...More

Take the guided tour, well worth the $ to see a very unusual lighthouse. Amanda is a great guide and clearly loves what she does. Also take the lookout walk. We did it in thongs and probably should have worn proper shoes due to the...More

The guide Mick made what would normally be a typical attraction tour; interesting, informative, and funny. Don't know how he does it every day! Well worth it to hear his talk. Even if the road to get there is a corrugated roller-coaster.

This place was good to see as part of a day tour. We didn't do the tour but checked out the museum, which was interesting. We were not around for the cannon firing. The cliff top walk leads to a great view and is worth...More
