A must visit, good information and history about Opel mining in Coober Pedy. Good sovernaires and some good quality opals for purchase. The mind tour is also worth doing. The top of the building gives you great photo opportunities of the town.

Gave me a better understanding of opal mining. The displays were interesting and the mining DVD was fun.

Stop here for a few minutes and see how they cut the rock to get opals out. Then look around their shop. Nice little place.

Again Aaron gave us such a detailed tour and history of Coober Pedy Opal. Went down into old area which was mined. Quite closed in if one did not like small places but we did not have problems.

We entered a wonderland of information via static display and video based information. A #10 tour of the original hand dug underground home of the original miner followed by the fascinating extension of what a real dug out looks like today.
