Daydream Island’s amazing Living Reef is a must see on the island. Located at the entrance to the resort, it is one of the world’s largest man-made living coral reef lagoons and features more than 80 species of marine fish and 50 species of coral. This microcosm of the Great Barrier Reef continues to capture the imagination of tourists young and old; with guests having the opportunity to hand feed resident stingrays, sharks and barramundi.

Atrocious! Appalling rooms, apathetic staff, mediocre food and exorbitant prices to boot. I recall below a litany of abuse encountered: A friend had to wait four hours to check into a water logged room. Our keycards stopped working multiple times. We paid 20 bucks for some tomatoless pizza. We got bumped from ocean view rooms to a view of other... More

This is basically a pond with fish, sting rays and a baby shark. Wouldn't spend time with this activity.

We have just returned from a relaxing week at Daydream Island and Spa. We had great weather and enjoyed the pools and ocean swimming. Rooms were also very comfortable, and I had 2 wonderful spa treatments from the wonderful ladies at the Daydream Spa. Only thing we found disappointing was the quality of the food. On evening my husband ordered... More

My sister and I enjoyed walking from our room and enjoying seeing the amazing creatures up close . Each morning whilst having breakfast we were able to watch kids feed the stringrays and baby sharks At 12 md each day they have at Lovers Cove feeding the fish too. Us adults loved it as much as the kids .

Glad we did this. Saw shark, rays, lots of fish that wouldn't have otherwise seen in the wild. Spent 2 days checking it out, but that was enough. Nothing else much to do on daydream island. Pools for swimming are average.

Our girls were occupied and we could relax. Snorkeled amongst Coral and tropical fish. The lagoon by the main building has stingrays sharks star fish and tropical fish. The ammenities are a little dated but roomy and very passable. For our purposes, we loved it. Friendly, helpful staff too.

Fantastic part of the sad Daydream Island Staff are great and informative as you get up close with the creatures of the ocean. Feeding stingrays by hand and barramundi with squid is a fantastic experience. You must do this as it can be free if you view or a small payment to up close and personal
