Such a beautiful spot to visit! Water was amazing! Can't recommend it enough! I do however recommend that if going the earlier the better! Can get a bit busy!

everyone goes here so the beach can be a bit crowded but the swimming in the lake is great and refreshing. great spot to visit

We have not visited main beach so we had all beach only for us. Water was absolutelly clear and warm! It is paradise in the middle of the jungle.

Lovely setting for a swim in cool water. The site is hard to get to but worth while the effort. The water dips quickly after a few metres.

Had a great day here with the family. Heaps of room on the soft white sand and the water was so clear but cold but that's what you get in the middle of winter but you could still swim and have a good day off...More

So beautiful white sand and blue, clear water. Quite a lot of people but You can find a place for yourself. It's forbidden to take food and bevarages to the lake because of digoes.

Visited Lake McKenzie in winter and the water was freezing, but beautiful nonetheless. Great drive there and back too.

I am afraid there is only 2 companies that do trips around the island and they begin on the mainland. Depends on where you are staying on the island you can always walk if you have time. Check a map and see if its possible... More

Hi NZDAY, There are day trips organised through tour operators from Hervey Bay and Rainbow Beach. You can get the ferry from Hervey bay across to the Kingfisher beach resort but you cannot access the rest of the island... More

Hi Dennis, the tours usually depart from Hervey Bay (Kingfisher Bay Ferry) at 7:00 in the morning or thereabouts, so driving up from Noosa would mean a pretty early start. You can, however, drive up at your leisure, put the... More
