Ideal spot to escape heat and camp in summer. Lot of wildlife and birds, listen for the cat birds' calls in the evening. Walking tracks continue over both dam walls. Talk to the rangers.

Loved visiting the lake, walking around the area and seeing the wildlife. We walked from the lake up to the lookout, through the Rock Gardens and down to Birthday Creek Falls. Stunning views, wildlife, flora and fauna.

Visited here on a chilly day but the location is excellent. Looks like a beautiful place for camping. BBQ facilities excellent as usual in Australia.

What a fantastic spot for a refreshing swim and picnic. A few stairs but otherwise right next to the car park, toilets and picnic ground. Would definitely go back and recommend the drive.
