there was a small colony of bats when I visited, interesting smell but sounded like running water. Very beautiful. The cave tour was very informative and interesting, a highlight of my stay in Rockhampton

Visited on Friday: as a couple we joined a mixed large group, the tour guide managed well. Nice to visit dry limestone Caves, the cathedral was lovely. Would be a wonderful place for a small wedding. Thanks

The caves have been closed due to damage caused by catogory 5 cyclone Marcia. They are back open and suggest you contact the caves for travel options. They are about 14 kms from Rockhampton.
