Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ok, I own up, as soon as I win the Lottery I am going to make an offer the owner can't refuse! This place is a gallery/coffee venue, but the authenticity of the building and the location is unbeatable!

So glad we found this gallery! Superb and eclectic collection along with some brilliant jewellery. We purchased a beautiful vessel made from Huon Pine and if we had more money and time I could have kept purchasing. Also had a lovely time chatting to the owner / manager.
There is a kind of peaceful ambiance here and I wish we might have lingered for coffee.
The building itself is just delightful - aged but spotless and charming. Will certainly return on our next visit.

Newly redone - the oldest building in Port Douglas, the schoolhouse - it had an open plan residential feel with a kitchen for freshly made coffee with a lovely deck to sit on and look out to the garden. The art was, predominantly, very eclectic and you can see some old relics from the schoolhouse days. The owner's jewellery designs were stunning and my parents purchased a lovely Tasmanian Huon Pine decorative bowl at a great price. A great, cultured spot for coffee among the other less sophisticated shops in the town.

Pretty much your typical art in tropical paradise theme. Certainly worth calling into. One of the few places that doesn't t sell mass produced crap that comes from the same factory that seems to supply most of the tourist shops in Port Douglas and a good percentage of the market stalls.
