The Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas is an immersion exhibit - an open and interactive environment for guests and animals to mingle in a spacious natural setting. Visitors wander along elevated boardwalks as birds fly and roam freely. Experience wildlife from the surrounding Rainforest, Wetlands, and Grasslands environments, and learn with our guided tours and presentations. Under reconstruction in many areas in June 2017 but the wildlife was still able to shine as walk through the aviaries and birds able get up very close. Nice big croc, various roos and wallabies including tree kangaroo

We did the reef, the rainforest and the beach while in Pt. Douglas but the Wildlife Habitat might have been the highlight. We saw kangaroos running in herds, fed them out of our hands and got to hold a koala bear. Not a typical US...More

Recommended from my son's good friend,the location is extremely easy to find,aldo there were some renovation,it did not impact the experience.Even though taking pictures with the animals needs money,it's really worth it!

The Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas is close to many resorts. Easy access via car with parking available. Enjoyable day out with friends or family with interesting wildlife and walks to complete. Animals looked well cared for.

I am not sure about transportation from the cruise terminal, but I can tell you that there is a public shuttle and a taxi available. I took a taxi there from Macrossan Street, and I do know that there is a shuttle service... More

Are there specific times of day you can hold and get a photo with a koala or available throughout the day? Also what's the best time of day to visit to get the most out of the park? Thanks!
