Wonderful dive sites, Great crew at an affordable price.

We spent 4 days 3 nights on the K.E. and constantly in awe of the Great Barrier Reefs dive sites and also of the surrounding views from the boat. Liveaboard in Australia does not... read more

Had the most amazing time with CDC last week living aboard the Kangaroo Explorer. The crew were excellent and always kept the atmosphere fun. A massive shout out to the best dive instructor Richard, who is the most knowledgeable person about aquatic life ever. Thanks for taking us for the Open Water and Adventure dive courses, and for making each... More

My friends and I had an amazing experience while sailing, snorkeling and diving. The staff is amazing, very friendly and nice. We scuba dive for the first time, they were so cool you felt no fear or whatsoever. The boat is really nice. And you get to dive and snorkel in different places. And the best thing is that the... Had a wonderful time snorkelling, lots of time in the water at different sites, an amazing variety of fish, corals and more, friendly and helpful crew, plenty of great food cooked by the chef Jamie. Basic but comfortable boat and accommodation. A great value no-frills memorable experience - highly recommended.

Not the best experience you can get: - prebooking requestes where declined last minute. - very commercial, no warm buddy diving atmosphere. - very conservative diving plans ( can enjoy the full experience). - some poorly planned dives *specialy night with no proper site scouting or surveying... very stressful dive. - on departure day we checked out at 10am and... Booked in for the day trip with the introductory dive - which was what I was most looking forward to. Morning tea and afternoon tea was advertised so due to an early start we thought we could afford not to have breakfast, but there was no morning or afternoon tea. Unfortunately Brendan didn't allow me to dive although I was... More

The Course. The Padi course was really well run, 2 days in the pool and 2 days on the boat. The instructors made it interesting and helped us to understand the importance of each skill. It seemed a much better option doing the liveaboard, as you get an extra dive after the course once you're certified which is awesome. The... More

Massive thanks to the team at CDC, Seb our instructor (and Brendon), Tom for the mad video and pics, and the crew onboard the Kangaroo explorer! Did the 4 day open water course with one night live aboard with my boyfriend - and had an amazing time. We spent 2 days in the pool and 2 days on the reef... More

We spent 4 days 3 nights on the K.E. and constantly in awe of the Great Barrier Reefs dive sites and also of the surrounding views from the boat. Liveaboard in Australia does not have to break your wallet, well CDC does just that. The all inclusive liveaboard is a great deal and you get to maximise your time out... More

I did a 3D2N liveaboard on the Kangaroo Explorer just before Christmas getting off on Christmas Eve. ACCOMMODATION The boat is a bit tired but it's nevertheless clean. All rooms come with a bathroom so it's not a bad liveaboard experience. Given the reasonable price charged I have absolutely no complaints. FOOD I have to say I was very impressed... More

I had a phenomenal day snorkelling with Cairns Dive Centre. The boat we went out on was lovely with an indoor area as well as an outdoor area at the top. The team was extremely welcoming right from the beginning and really got everyone excited for the snorkelling & scuba diving ahead. I chose to do the day trip &... More
