A very long walk to the waterfalls but well worth it. The walk is along a well maintained path which is shaded in some parts. Don't forget to take drinking water, the walk is longer than you think, and take your towel and bathers

Behana Gorge is just over 30km from Cairns. You will need your own transport to get there. The road into the falls is on google maps so easy to find. This road will take you to a carpark from where you start walking. Behana creek...More

Gorgeous natural pools and theres an spot where you can jump in the water from more than 15m high! We saw eels, yabis and lots of fish. Really cold water but breathing there help your lungs.

This was an easy hike - all paved trail, with some up and down, but no problem if you are used to walking a little. We didn't want to spend the money on a guided tour so we did it on our own without any...More

Small swimming hole and not easily accessed. Once you have completed a 3km walk you have to climb down a rocky slope to access the water hole. This swimming hole would not cater for the elderly or small children. Extremely long walk! Pack a picnic...More

Behana is absolutely gorgeous and worth the 3km uphill hike to get there! We made the mistake of wearing thongs as we didnt think the walk was long but definitely regretted that by the end. Water is beautiful, crystal clear and great for a swim

I am quite unfit, so it is a bit of a tough walk for me - some of the hills are pretty steep (to me), but the views along the way are quite beautiful, and the path is wide and well-kept. A good walk in...More

The path is full of hills and when you get to the gorge there isn't a very smooth path for a pram, pouch would be best
