Kuranda Scenic Railway is the original scenic rail journey to Kuranda. This spectacular experience travels over bridges and through tunnels hand-made by North Queensland's pioneers over 100 years ago. Traversing the World Heritage listed rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park, this is one of the world's great railway journeys.

Caught the railway one way! Feel like it's slightly overpriced! There is lots of see on the trip tho and stopping at Barron falls was a highlight. The only downside is you can't hear any the audio clip on the train, especially when going through...More

Our 8 year old really enjoyed the trip down from kuranda but 4 year old was a bit bored. Large prams must be checked in but compact prams ok to store under seats then in luggage hold for bus transfer back to skyrail.More

Great trip both ways. A must do when in the Far north of QLD. Don't miss Bird World when in Kuranda and a walk by the river and through the forest.
