Just upstream from the Story Bridge, the Brisbane Jazz Club sits on the river with wonderful views across to the city. Brisbane's best kept secret, the club operates every Thursday to Sunday night and a brunch on the last Sunday of every month. If you feel like having dinner, the Story Bridge Hotel chefs will cook your meal and serve it to you at your table or if you prefer, you can have a drink or a meal on our wonderful deck overlooking the water. There is also a free ferry next to the club which operates every 15 minutes between the Jazz Club and Eagle Street in the city. Brisbane Jazz Club turned 45 years old in 2017 which is testament to the success of this 'not for profit' organisation.

House-sitting here in Brisbane we acted upon a suggestion from our hosts to visit the Brisbane Jazz Club. We opted for the Sunday brunch event - and it didn't disappoint. The music was excellent, the food very good, and the whole experience was a delight....More

Great spot. Food good, volunteers friendly. Thought that cover charge of $35.00 per head a little high, when you have to pay full fair for food and drinks. Sitting outside get a better sound to the music and then the great view over to Eagle...More

We went for dinner and really enjoyed it. The menu is limited because they get their catering from the Story Bridge hotel around the corner. I would describe it as good food, but not great. Probably pub food it a good description. That said, I...More

Visited yesterday for brunch and as usual, the entertainment was first class. Melissa Western and Tnee Dyer and their quartet were in fine form and most enjoyable to watch. Always love coming to this place.

We did not know what to expect, and did not end up going on our last visit to Brisbane. This time we did - we booked a table for Saturday evening, the band playing was "jump, jive and wail". They were outstanding - funny and...More

First visit to this very wonderful place; specifically to listen to and watch the Claxton Street Jazz Band. Excellent food from Story Bridge hotel. The band where just what we expected (think Tuba Skinny and Ken Colyer) the club was just very intimate but so...More
