Do not waste time out of your day. It's a very small street with a few decorations. Not like any other Chinatowns we have seen, an absolute disappointment.

I totally agree with most of the latest reviews. Chinatown in Brisbane is boring. You'll find some shops and restaurants, however this place does not have any style. If you have already visited some famous (Sydney, Singapore etc.), than Brisbane Chinatown will totally disappoint you. To asian lifestyle, no street life - most of the shops are closed or for... We went there on 9/3/17 in the afternoon Nothing much open It could be so good if it has restaurants open and Asian grocery stores Compared to other Chinatowns very poor

My wife and I went there on 09/03/2017. The place was dead, none of the shops or restaurants open 11AM. we probably walked passed four or five other couples who were the stereotype tourist, (large camera, middle aged). they like us were confused, as if to say is this the right place? or is this it?. located in a seedy... This has to be the worst "Chinatown" we have ever come across. The main street was almost deserted, had a variety of average looking Asian style restaurants, one good record shop (as in the old fashioned vinyl) and that was about it. The general area was very seedy (Fortitude Valley). Don't waste your time going, it will only disappoint.

Don't expect the glamour of the other world renowned China Town! this is just a couple of over-crowed slight grotty streets.. Alas I find myself here all too often myself & friends are suckers for overly lit garish cheap BYOB Chinese resturants arnt'we all?

This was very underwhelming as I had been there recently and loved it so much that I wanted to share it with family. However, when we got there majority of the shops were closed or for lease. Which made it a very boring experience. There was not much to see except the main entrance. This is only worth going to... More

We stayed in Fortitude Valley so this was only a short walk from our hotel. I was a bit disappointed if i'm honest. Not a very large area and through the day there wasn't much going on. Maybe because it was the week between Xmas and New year? Many places looked closed for the holidays. Some nice ornate gateways and... More

Have a short walk and do not go there again, small, boring and very poor. Do not really try the restaurants there - food is very average.
