The Brisbane River is perfect for adventure, leisure and recreation. Go kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or take a trip on a City Cat. Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. Try Story Bridge Adventure climb, cycle, rollerblade or go for a jog. Dance with the local aboriginal tribe, Mirrabooka or visit South Bank. However you look at it you can't visit Brisbane without experiencing the River. Then cruise out to Tangalooma Island Resort for a must do experience. Enjoy!

Nice walks along the river but the river itself is not a pretty aspect. But the gardens and paths are worth a visit.

Coming from the country we are easily entertained lol . There is always something to look , absorb and experience on the river system . A cat ride is a great way to see what’s for offer .

We took a boat tour along the river very relaxing with stunning views of the city and Storybrooke Bridge. Also took a walk along the river which has plenty of bars and resturants along it.

A hub of activity with joggers, bikers and walkers. Unfortunately river is brown due to tidal inundation and suspension of sediment. Ferries are good value for city commute.

The river actually looks better at night when the tepid water is just a shade of black while the buildings, attractions and monuments on both banks are lit. Nice to walk along the bank and enjoy the mild breeze and scenery from Eagle Street Pier...More

Took the family to see the Koala Refuge. The ride up the river was fun, interesting, and quite pleasant. The Brisbane River has an interesting history, some remarkable sites along it, and never disappoints.
