The lake is huge, allowing for endless hours of paddling and discovery of different parts of it. Rich birdlife on the lake contributes to the experience. Facilities at he Captain Logan Camp include camping, plenty of parking for day trippers. However, this is the only such launch point on the lake, leaving the upper section of it difficult to reach.

This is a very well maintained picnic area, with BBQ's, good parking and lots of shelter. Its a credit to the people who maintain it.

I have been to this place a couple of times. The drive to the place is long but there are many places to stop on the way, especially a good pie shop. There are a lot of places to sit around to have a picnic and places where you can have a bbq as facilities are provided. The whole place... More

The dam wall is the most interesting, this is a case of where the journey is more interesting than the destination- nice drive and good towns to stop at on the way

Beautiful place but not a lot of shade. We tried to swim but the water was murky and the mud/sand underfoot felt horrible so we didn't get in very far. There was also a lot of weed so possibly dangerous for children

Beautiful setting. Lovely relaxed day. More shelter sheds would be awesome but arrive early to grab one. Logans inlet has a shop and canoe hire but it's permanently closed. Great cheap byo everything day out.

This dam is west of Brisbane and a car is needed to get there. Travel west through Mt Glorious to experience beautiful mountain rain forests. The café near the dam wall is good but booking is needed on weekends. Allow 1 hour travelling time from Brisbane, more for sight seeing and bush walking at Mt Glorious. While the destination is... Stayed at Lumley Hill for 3 days. Loved every moment. Great, clean facilities. I would highly recommend this place for a quick weekend away. Less then an hour from Ipswich. Swimming in the dam. BBQ on the bank. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

A great place to have a picnic. There are plenty of tables under shelter with great views of the water. Well maintained toilet facilities too. There is an onsite Cafe to pick up of dine at too.
