My girlfriend and I visited on Thursday last week - great reminder of townhouses and rural farms of days gone by, nestled away from the busyness of the traffic out on Kingston Rd in quiet but built up residential area. Incredible how an old world gem can be found in an area like this. Make sure to... More

This is an adorable little cottage that gives visitors a glimpse of times gone by. My kids loved looking at all the items and chatting about what each did. Worth a visit.

I haven't been here in a long time, but when I drove up, I found the place was very quiet. This house was the one... More

I visited Mayes Cottage with my wife on Thursday 11th June 2015, and we enjoyed every moment of our enlightening guided tour which lasted well over an hour. Mayes Cottage is a charming museum and a monument to the pioneering spirit of the early settlers in Australia. The home is lovingly preserved and furnished with period furniture from the 1920s... Mayes cottage tells it all. Come here to see the lifestyle of people of the past. Rich culture and values, simplicity in it's best, affluent yet very humble lifestyle these people lived.
