This was a birthday gift to my husband and we went with my 4 yr old son. It was a neat boat to be on but we found out once we were on that the air conditioning wasn't working. This was during one of the worst heat waves (and summers) that Brisbane had on record so I was not too... More

Buffet-style food was chock full of choices - several kinds of meats and each one was delicious. The entertainment was very, very and most importantly not over-amplified like we often encounter. We were seated next to the dance floor and could still converse with our new friends at the next table. We purchased drink tokens before the cruise and our... More

This was the most terrible cruise I have ever been on. Paid around $750 for a family of 4 for the New Years Eve dinner cruise and to see the fireworks. 5 minutes before boarding we were advised there was no electricity upstairs where we were eating. Was advised we could leave and take another cruise at a later date... More

We were a party of 8 celebrating a 21st birthday . Sadly when you arrive to collect tickets you are confused by the drinks token board at point of sale . YOU DONT NEED TO BUY A PACKAGE . Just buy what you want on board. You do have to wait 30 minutes for drinks though. The food from the... More

The cruise along the Brisbane river was amazing, highly recommend that part of the event. The staff seemed disorganised and unfamiliar with products available. One staff member didnt even know who her supervisor was. The dress standard of the wait staff was shabby and lacked professionalism. One waitress was sporting a bandage on her upper arm concealing god knows what...perhaps... More

16 of us boarded the vessel at 12.00 noon for a 12.30 departure. Cost $62 adult; $52 pensioner rate. Bought coupons for beverages at the ticket kiosk. 4 coupons for bottle of Merlot and 1 coupon for Crown Lager. Coupon worth $6.00 each so very reasonable on-board alcohol purchase. Lunch consisted of smorgasbord roast offering selection of salads/roast vegetables; roast... More

We went on a dinner cruise on Thursday 5th Jan, 2017. We enjoyed everything about the night, the food was delicious - my husband had the prawn cocktail and loved it, said the prawns were very fresh, I had a Thai chicken salad (i think) & it too was very fresh. We both had the chicken for mains, delicious and... More

Our good friend invited us (two other couples) to join them to celebrate the 60th birthday of her husband. She purchased the 'Silver Service' option. The combination of poor service (particularly from the bar, where we ended up fronting up to collect our order from 40 minutes before) and surly staff (the birthday cake we organised to be brought aboard... I recently took the lunch time cruise with family members. Our cruise was aboard the Kookaburra Queen II. Firstly (and unfortunately), the day we booked our cruise for turned out to be a hot one, 34 degrees Celsius! Of course this is no fault of Kookaburra Cruises. However we were seated at the rear starboard side of the boat, with... More

The meal and entertainment was great and good value for money. The boat is very old but well maintained. Whole experience is a must. The sites along the river are gorgeous. Easy place to find.
