I think its MUST to visit, very beautiful! The water is really cold though so I would recommend going on a hot day. I saw a lot of families with children from the age of 4 so I... read more

I think its MUST to visit, very beautiful! The water is really cold though so I would recommend going on a hot day. I saw a lot of families with children from the age of 4 so I would say this is a place for almost everyone :) You will see beautiful waterfalls and also you can go to a... More

The falls here are quite spectacular, and the large boulders make for a great slippery slide if you are game. Lovely rainforest walk into the falls, take a drink, and bathers to swim in the pools. Picnic tables in carpark, don't leave the camera at home. Note these falls can be dangerous, especially in the wet season when the river... More

One of the nicest locations in North Queensland, plenty of choices for activities and accessible to all. The swimming holes attached to the falls are beautiful and the perfect place to stop and cool off. If you are looking for a longer walk the Mt Bartle Frere track starts here. The walk to the falls is very easy and would... More

An easy and lovely track leads to the falls and crystal clear beautiful green swimming hole. The water is super refreshing and a natural slide at the lowest fall is great fun. The only problem is the flies, or mosquitos or whatever these blood-suckers were! They don't bother you when you're in the water but once your body gets warm,... More

Located about 1 hour from Cairns is Josephine Falls. It is an interesting drive to Wooroonooran National Park as you pass Queenslands tallest mountain, Bartle Frere. Approximately 10 minutes walk from the car park, the walk is quite easy even for the very young. At the end of your stroll through the lush trees, be rewarded with a lovely cool... More

Josephine Falls is a short walk from the parking lot and a great place to swim if the water level is not too high. It is part of the Wooroonooran National Park and to get there you drive through banana and sugar plantations. As the title of the review stated, it is one of MANY Australian waterfalls. It was our... An easy road trip from Cairns is the Josephine Falls. A bit of a walk from the car park but worth the effort. A number of viewing platforms at different levels of the falls. Great view from each one. Went on a weekday so not too crowded. Didn't swim this day but definitely will next time I visit.

Beautiful waterfalls, 700m walk from car park. Along the at we saw a couple of brush turkeys, and once at the waterfall there are a couple of viewing spots as well as an area to access the bottom swimming hole. Wear insect repellant as there were plenty of bugs!

From the carpark there is a decent walk to the falls which could be a little challenging to some. Once there, walkways and safety railings make it easy to access the pool and slide. The water can be cold and the rocks slippery to climb, but coming down is a lot of fun. The kids brought their snorkels and spent... More
