Very similar to PNG's Parliament House so it must be a tropical design with free flowing openings to catch the breeze ? A very impressive structure and imposing in size and well worth a visit when the House is not sitting.

We were invited by the chief minister. The location is amazing, the architecture to be marvelled at and easy, accessible parking. If on foot not too far to walk from CBD

We had a couple of hours to kill in the city. I took my parents to Parliment House. We had lunch at the Cafe there and then walked around. The food was nice and it was interesting to walk around the different areas.

Open on weekends to walk through, missed the guided tour but could wander throughout the building except the chamber, enjoyed the map section in the library revised the early charts of Darwin and its harbour, no cafe open on weekend

We enjoyed a great tour led by Sasha (who we later learned is one of the court clerks) who was very informative about the history of NT as well as its political backdrop. Tours run twice on Saturdays for most of the year and are...More

Combined with the NT library and cafe on the green, this is a very relaxing experience. Makes you feel like your getting some of your taxes back, even if you are visiting. Also have a peak of the floor mosaic and art collection in the...More

This tour in Darwin is a must. As someone that does not always take much notice of politics, I left knowing more. Sasha the tour guide that works as a clerk when parliment is sitting was very informative, easy to hear and listen to. It...More

From the outside this is a most elegant structure - there is a local joke about the name - try and find out what it is (Big Bus driver).
