The National Park provides a good view of Darwin City from across the bay and has a nice picnic area. Ammunition bunkers from World War II are dotted throughout the Park and one provides a display of relevant historical material.
I didn't expect that you can have a good view on Darwin till I was in this park. You get some really nice views over Darwin and you can go into WWII Bunker exhibitions with intersting informations. In my opinion the best time to visit...More
We hired mountain bikes from the Scooter Shop and cycled out there, mostly on a wide bike path. There are 3 levels of mountain bike trails in the park, or you can use the quiet park roads with mostly just the occasional tour bus. The...More

All very interesting with WW2 munitions depots, one of which is open full of historical photos plaques etc for one to read and marvel at. The park is well kept and great to look over at Darwin from the lookout. Well worth the drive.
Couldn't walk around much because it was raining but could go into the bunkers and have a look, interesting to see the removed ones as well. Lots to learn in the one that is open and see history of what people experienced during the war.
Went up over the weekend wraith a group of friends as we had a Sunday Group city motorbike ride! Great views of the city, great explanation to some of Darwin’s history. Also a great park and bbq area where you can have picnics
We took a taxi from Darwin to the park expecting staff to be on duty to assist with anything we may need, for example how to get back to Darwin, and get information about what was in the park. The park gate had been opened...More
