Plenty of time on your hands? EAST POINT RESERVE could soak up a whole day – and there are other nearby good value attractions (see down page). Some East Point Reserve Venues: - DEFENCE OF DARWIN WAR MUSEUM – a top attraction. I spent hours wandering around the exhibits of this surprisingly compact place. See trip advisor reviews. It's towards... More

East Point reserve was a lovely suprise we had no intentions on visiting this place. We had a hire car and drove by it by chance, East Point also had a bike trek which would of been awsome to do. We visited East Point twice because we adored it so much. The first visit was when it was a low... More

This is a relatively large park next to the ocean. Plenty of shade and manicured gardens, a good place to walk or jog and good place to see and hear birds. The mangrove walk is excellent. This walk ends in a shady area where you are surrounded by tall mangrove trees. At low tide you have good views of the... More

Forget sunsets everywhere else in Darwin. You'll see the BEST ever sunset here. Great place to sit and have a picnic dinner and a few beers.

Lots to do in this beautiful place - walking, cycling, swimming in crocodile free man-made lake, birdwatching (rainbow pita is here), military museum, WW2 bunkers, sculpture, and sunset watching. Delightful to hang out here.

My walk started on the beach side and followed the track round finishing at the lake. The track is well laid out and the views are tops. Where coastal and bushland meet. You can also swim in the lake and plenty play area for young kids.

We spent about half an hour here enjoying the view - it was completely empty until we left when a van of history buffs rocked up. Would be good for a picnic on a cooler day

We spent a couple of hours at East Point Reserve. First we drove around the whole reserve & checked out Lake Alexander (safe swimming), but it wasn't hot enough for a swim, then we picked a quiet shady place near Fannie Bay Beach to have a picnic - lovely cool place to relax. Would have liked to do the mangrove... More
