Our cruise experiences provide one of the best ways to experience Darwin...

Our cruise experiences provide one of the best ways to experience Darwin Harbour. Enjoy and experience a famous Darwin sunset, a city lights cruise or a half day sailing bbq lunch tour.

Our new Seawind 1160 Resort is specially designed for the tourist market providing cushioned and shaded seating. It is a perfect vantage point close to the water to catch a glimpse of wildlife. Enjoy the cool afternoon breeze filling the sails that propels Kuru around the harbour.

Our route incorporates a relaxing unique sailing tour showcasing points of interest about the harbour’s ecological attributes, snippets of WWII on the harbour, early settlement and heritage.

Guests can take away an informative strip map that shows some of the history we will point out.

Our friendly crew are always available to chat with guests during the cruise.

Please note that both the BBQ Meal and Nibbles option are on the same vessel. Mid week cruises will require a minimum number/cost to cruise.

My wife and I can strongly recommend a Sunset Cruise on the Kuru. The crew were friendly and helpful, the boat is beautiful, and the included food (nibbles) and drink very generous. The advertised "nibbles" doesn't do it justice, with two types of cheese, dip, biscuits, olives, salami, carrots, celery, etc. Obviously they cannot guarantee the wind, but the Kuru... More

A fantastic evening spent on the new boat Kuru. Wind was up and so were the sails. So relaxing cruising the harbour for 3 hours. Left Cullen Bay marina at 4.30, went through the loch and returned at 7.30. Snax are supplied, dips, cheese, olives, chilli philly etc. and glasses supplied. You can BYO drinks. Just need to take your... More

My whole family enjoyed a great cruise out around the harbour, seeing dolphins and fish, a beautiful evening with a cloudy sunset at a relaxing cruising pace. The only disappointing thing was the skipper flicking his cigarette butt into the harbour before he got on the boat to leave, and a group of guests smoking at the back of the... More

Sunset Cruise 12th August 2015, rang & booked cruise direct to owners, was told $100 per head included their Bbq package, assumed drinks included ! Both beer/wine & softdrinks, when we on the boat ready to sail we noticed people bringing byo drinks! While we were waiting for the skipper to board I asked the deckhand if we needed to... More

We chose to do an afternoon cruise - I can only imagine the sunset cruise being more spectacular. The boat was very clean and spacious. Our was 4 hours along the coast of Darwin and the owner of the boat took time to tell us about the local flora and fauna - which I really enjoyed. As we cruised around... More

Clear blue Darwin skies, calm waters, nearly 3 hours blissfully sailing in light breezes on the Arafura Sea. Relaxing, with maybe 20 others, largely locals with their family visitors. From 4pm till 7pm one afternoon in the school break, it was a delightful family activity. I loved reclining with nothing better to do than catch the breezes. My 12 year... More

We booked through red balloon and it was easy to get our preferred date. We saw flying fish and dolphins, and the commentary about the harbour was great. Arrive early to get a good spot, you can sit undercover or on the nets out front. Nibbles were lovely but we were the only ones staying for dinner so we ate... More

This is a 10 day cruise seeing and experiencing the Kimberley from the water. Three highlights were the helicopter flight to Mitchell Falls, going through the Horizontal Falls, and sailing close to Montgomery Reef and seeing the wildlife there. The cabins were spacious, clean and comfortable and made up every day. The crew could not do enough to help especially... More
