About a 15minute walk up to there and quite an easy walk. 12 dollar entrance fee didn't know about this until we got here but wasn't a problem. Try and be there for the midday sun if you can as it lights the walls up and completely changes it.

A must-see if you're touring the West Macs, this one costs a little money but is worth it -- a nice, relaxing walk is available to the beautiful Chasm itself, plus a more strenuous walk up a nearby hill for some great views (a full loop is available if you have the time). Food and drink available too, as well... More

If you are travelling through the west Macs, then this is a must visit. Although some of the other sites in the region are great, this is definitely worth a stop.

An easy walk up the creek bed on a very well maintained path suitable for wheelchairs. Leaving aside the spectacular Stanley Chasm at the top end of the walk, there are many fascinating trees along the way. They grow out of rock faces and continue to thrive despite falling over.

Really gorgeous scenery - just didn't have enough time here really but we had such a lot to see. Good to get some history of the area as well.

The walk into the chasm has been ungraded recently so that it's easily accessible to anyone who can walk a couple of km. There are opportunities to learn about it from one of the aboriginal is owners and even sit down for a chat and watch some if their artistic work. The cafe near the car park is shady, overlooks... This is a great day trip from Alice Springs. It's only about a 40 minute car journey out of the city and then a 30 minute walk into the chasm. The walk is super easy - almost anyone can do it. It would be a perfect outing for kids 3+. The folks who run the kiosk are super nice as... More

We had heard that the chasm was best to see at midday, as the sun lit up the walls in an amazing way. We timed our day around being there at midday. The area was fascinating to drive and then walk through, even the carpark felt pretty amazing, looking around at the cliffs surrounding it. The downside to this attraction... More
