Must see ‘in the flesh “
Dec 2019
After seeing a documentary on this first Frank Gehry creation in Australia a few years ago, I’ve wanted to see it. It’s an amazing building and as one would expect, very quirky.
We walked in and around taking it all in- the brickwork is startling.

Fascinating building as are all Gehry buildings
Nov 2018 • Solo
Different from Bilbao and other Gehry buildings I have seen but that’s what makes them interesting.
All unique but at the same time, all distinctive, you’d certainly say it was a Gehry design, but it definitely adds an allure to the UTS campus that otherwise you would describe as boring.
An easy walk from either Central Railway, Chinatown or Darliing Harbour but while you are here, have a look at the Goods Line.
Described by many as a brown paper bag, it is certainly a building that stands out in the area.

Beautifull building
Aug 2018 • Business
Somewhat hidden, a three-minutes walk away from the central station, you can find this beautiful building from the hand of the famous architect Frank Gehry. It is definitely worth a short walk around the building to experience the work of this well-known architect.

Hidden gem
Jan 2018
Such a modern building among the high rises and traffic. Well worth a visit and go round the back to grab a beer and snack in the UTS bar and cafe.

Jawdropping

I had a marvelous time with someone I simply met online who became a dear friend during my stay in Sydney. Thankfully he also was a tenured professor here. The inside is just as awesome! But do find your way to these curio of a structure. Sydney is a very young city and so much of its architecture is relatively new. Now the Dane that designed the Opera House made a building so unique and so unbelievably enjoyable to observe from all manner of angles, it's hard to beat or even match. The Wing Building does not. It's in a different stratosphere. It's an oddity. It's like the Cassowary, that huge stove-sized bird down there. Bizarre, startling, unique, unreal. If you love to take photographs, go all the way around this building. It's worth it.

Outside the box!!!
Jul 2017 • Couples
This stellar building by Frank Gehry epitomises 'thinking outside the box' for UTS business students. Put your hands on the brickwork and see and feel the flow of them. The brickies must have been seriously challenged to conquer this feat! Walk all roung and get inside the first couple of floors if you can...enjoy a coffee at the cafe! To be savoured. Squashed between other buildings which detracts from it's ethereal beauty. A winner!

Glad to have seen this

---building facade. It's a 5 minute walk from Central Station. Simply follow the signs for The Goods Line, a long-retired merchandise delivery line; you can still see the remaining tracks. This is Sydney for you. New and old architecture juxtaposed in close proximity every where in the city.

Another excellent creation of Franck Gehry
Nov 2016 • Solo
This building is rally nice and push all the traditional rules of architectures back in the previous century. Franck Gehry has again proven that he can make building move despite behind static. Turning all around the Dr Chau Wing Building make you feel the movements of the bricks...
Definitely Sydney architectural monument to see.

Outstanding
Oct 2016 • Friends
To view modern architecture at its best, this is the place to visit. Frank Gehry architecture, this building is very tourist friendly, cafe accessible and the first four floors can be free to view at your leisure. If you like modern architecture you will love this. I watched the tv programme Imagine earlier this year and was not disappointed to visit.
Location is easy. Practically next to Paddy's Market - appropriate for the now affectionately named Brown Paper Bag Building!

Wonderful architecture at UTS
Oct 2016 • Solo
The Dr Chau Chak Wing Building houses the Business School at the University of Technology Sydney, and is a wonderful piece of Gaudi-esque architecture. You have to go inside and see the staircase - it's impressive, but the outside is pretty amazing as well. This is just a short walk from Sydney Central Station.
