We booked a 3 hours cruise in April for July all good organised. We had an amazing day on the sea and saw lots of whales. The crew was very helpful because lots of people were sea sick. The information from the captain was great.

We went in the afternoon in early October and the number of sightings was incredible and according to the guide more than that morning but I guess it's just the luck of the draw.

Hi , No January is well out of whale watching season for Sydney. May to December is the main season , apart from scattered intermittent visits from some of the deep ocean whale species in between

I represent Whale Watching Sydney so that going to be my recommendation. We do have a big boat so i would book on the Discovery cruise not the smaller adventure vessel
