During the Vivid festival in Sydney in June two adults and our young grandson stopped by for dinner on our way home. What a pleasant surprise,we had a table on the sidewalk, had a drink and shared tapas plates and watched the world go by as we enjoyed a really tasty meal. Nice wine, fast and friendly service, a perfect... More

Went here for something to eat as I enjoy good pub grub. Especially Irish bangers and mash, stew etc. got the bangers and mash and fish and chips. Very disappointed, this was not good home made stuff more like from a chain packaged and microwaved. There are a lot better places to eat in Sydney.

A fun little night spot located in the heart of Sydney. Operates throughout the week and is good for almost any occasion.

Went there on St Patrick's day as a family of 21 members to hear the live band. Sadly one of our group was asked to leave by the aggressive and over zealous bouncers. They couldn't and wouldn't give an explanation as to what he'd done and were happy to put an end to a great night knowing it was hard... More

This was my 'local' when I worked in Pitt Street a few years ago. I've since moved to a different part of the city so no longer frequent it on a regular basis. I did meet friends here last Christmas for drinks so hence my review. It is an okay place to meet. As it is (very) slightly away from... More

Pretty good place. Good to see Guinness on tap and the irish themed menu was a welcome change. Been twice, one for lunch on a weekday and it was quiet and uneventful. Another time was a saturday night and the place was absolutely brimming with patrons.

We popped in for a drink on Saturday evening. One of my friends made an order and paid with credit card. A bartender took credit card and gave it back without a receipt. When my friend asked for receipt, bartender said she didn't have it as he didn't asked for it before payment. He asked her politely to bring the... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
