Decent walk and views. May be more appealing for tourists however for us it was just a nice stroll in our city on a clear day

You leave the magnificent building that is the Sydney Opera house and you follow the path that borders the harbour. There is much to see with ferries scurrying to and fro , the Naval dockyard and of course the magnificent Botanic gardens . A great...More

Skip the train or taxi and wander through the Botanical Garden to the Gallery of NSW after a visit to the Opera House. Lots of interesting trees and flowers plus we saw a huge lizard and numerous Cockatoo parrots. Takes about 20 minutes and only...More

Even though it is the end of fall, it was a beautify way to spend half a day. The views of the harbor at sunset are worth the entire trip.

Walking around Sydney is easy and fun. Some of the best views and experiences can be found walking in this area. The paths are in good condition and everywhere is well-signposted.

If you have not much time and want to see the highlights of Sydney, this walk should be part of your program. Harbour view, opera, skyline.

Beautiful walk along the waterfront with a great photo opportunity at Macquarie's point allowing you to take a picture of the opera house overlapped by the famous Sidney bridge.

I plan on driving into Sydney from Katoomba on a Monday morning during mid-January. Would it be ostentatious of me to believe that I can see the harbour front, Opera House, and Botanic Gardens all in one day while still leaving time for lunch, dinner, and checking into an AirBnB nearby?

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

Trying to get a handle on the weather in early April in Sydney. Would appreciate any help. This walk sounds like a 'must do' on our list. We'll be there for three days prior to our cruise, in April, 2016.

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
